There’s no place like home
Pop superstar Madonna refuses to stay in hotels during the American leg of her upcoming re-Invention tour, instead she will fly to and from her homes after each show.
The Material Girl, whose 28-date road show kicks off this summer, is determined to stay in her own quarters every night after performing.
A source says, “Madonna has insisted in a private jet to every city, so she doesn’t need to stay in any hotels during the US stint of the tour. “She will fly to and from her New York City apartment for each of the East Coast shows – and from her Los Angeles home for the West Coast shows. She plans to stay in a friend’s estate while doing Florida shows.
“She will also be flying her Kabbalah advisors around the globe to keep her grounded during the gruelling tour.”
Madonna’s children will also be going along for the ride. The source adds, “Madonna is only playing dates that won’t interfere with her kids’ schooling.”
The tour’s 24 May opening night in Los Angeles is “going to be like the Oscars”, with hordes of celebrities who will have to “pay like everyone else” but will get “great seats”.
