Tony Ward says: Madonna treated me like a son

On September 8, Tony Ward – former Herb Ritts’s favorite model – was in Barcelona (Spain) modeling for Armando Basi.
“La voz de Asturias“, a Spanish Newspaper interviewed him backstage, where he talked about Madonna and Herb Ritts.

The last time Madonna and Tony Ward were together she was crying in his arms, but not precisely longing for the old days of passion, she was remembering Herb Ritts, who directed both in the 1989 Cherish Music Video, it happened almost two years ago at the Herb Ritts’s Memorial Service.

Ward , who walked on the Armand Basi’s Runway , talked with “La voz de Asturias” about his relationship with Madonna, “Our relation was pretty intense, but she treated me like a son, and I was looking for a Woman, not for a Mother”, he said.

The Veteran American Model is back in rotation again since John Galliano picked him as model for the launching of his new Men Collection this year.
