Tour Memories from Bercy by our redear Tony
Here’s another Triber reporting from Paris. This time it’s our friend Tony from Holland:
“I’m back from a week in Paris. And what a week it was. I’m not gonna bore you with another review as you all have read what has been going on in Paris. I could not believe I was back in Paris again after 1993, 2001. This venue kicks ass. The place in front of the venue wasn’t decoraded like with the Drowned World Tour and there were no huge promo billboards anywhere in Paris (at least I didnt see any). We arrived on the 31-08. We first went to our Hotel which wasn’t that good and clean but at least it was close to the venue so we walked to Palais Omnisport and we went inside.
There was a man sitting at the desk and since my boyfriend didn’t have a ticket yet I asked if there were still any left. There were tickets left for Sunday sept 5 and oh yeah for sept 2! I couldnt believe it and so we bought a fosse debout ticket for 57.30 euro’s: my boyfriends was going to see a show with me! After that we decided to go for a walk along the Seine. And we decided to go into Quatier Latin. And when we walked there I saw this big dog with a handsome guy and girl……when walking passed them I realized that it was Olivier Martinez! But when that was Olivier Martinez then that girl had to be Kylie Minogue! So I told my boyfriend and he didn’t believe me, so we walked back passed them and checked again: it was Kylie! My boyfriend wouldn’t let me ask for a picture or autograph, and guess he was right. We just left them alone. They seemed very much in love, hugging and all. Nice! She’s as small as Madonna!
Back to Madonna: the first show I thought was the best: the crowd was absolutely amazing! The noise, they gave me goosebumps….(I saw Gaultier and Jean Paul Belmondo). Madonna was Flawless, ok not for 100%, she messed up the lyrics to Imagine. What i thought was really fun was Material Girl; the waving hands part from side to side….
The second show i went to see with my boyfriend. He’s not a Madonna fan but he really really liked the show: he got goosebumps in the intrumental break in Express Yourself, and got all teary eyes when the palestinian and israelian kids walked away together in Imagine.
The third show was superb also. I was standing right in front of the catwalk and made some cool pictures which i will post later. Before this show we waited in front of the gate where Madonna arrives and i got to meet some very cool people! Always nice. Oh and I saw Donna DeLory….she promised me to come back for a picture but she had to eat something first…i didnt see her. I forgive her: she’s very sweet! We also got to see Madonna entering the Palais Omnisport!
I got back yesterday evening from Paris and I’m already looking forward to going on Wednesday to Arnhem!
I have so much respect for that woman, she’s a real pro, hard working, one hell of a danser/singer/performer: the best out there in the land of wannabe’s!
