Tribers Reviews: A night that will change my life forever
Here’s a review submitted by our reader Chris of the Worcester June 28 show.
“Thanks to VH1 I was lucky enough to win Right Pit Tickets to the June 28 show in Worcester, MA. I drove all the way from Michigan, nearly 24 hours roundtrip. I arrived early and hung around the venue until all of us winners were greeted by Madonna‘s camp and given a run down of the rules. Afterwards we were lead to the pits and one of Madonna‘s tour coordinators told us we were about the have the best f*cking time of our lives, and was she ever right.
About 8:30 the lights dimmed, I was in the very front of the right pit. The two male dancers ran to the swings and were elevated and I could see Madonna hovered underground waiting to be risen, her corset shining. Everything was so incredibly loud, I cannot even explain it. She rose and winked at the pits and began to sing. Throughout the entire show her voice was amazing!!! I cannot emphasize just how good she sounds!!! I?ve heard a lot of the past shows and this show sounded by far the best!! She definitely showed the right pit more attention than the left, constantly teasing us and smiling. Donna and Siedah were smiling and winking at us constantly!!
I was within inches of Madonna, four security guards were in the pit with us, one in each corner, along with Madonna’s security team. Every time she walked past me I started to scream and jump up and down to get her attention or possibly hand shake, but to no avail. Until?
Don’t Tell Me kicks in and here she comes again, this time I keep eye contact with her and I raised my hands up and she grabs my right hand and gives it a squeeze. I was the only person she touched the entire night. I about fainted. The left pit wasn’t very energetic. Like A Prayer starts, every person in the house was standing up and clapping.
During the Bedtime Story interlude the female dancers soared right over us as they were on the swings!!
Throughout the show she was making jokes with the audience, saying how it looked like there were a lot of beer drinkers in the audience and again, dedicated Crazy For You to her fans for the past twenty fucking years!
This was my first concert and will be probably the most memorable experience of my life. Madonna looked so young and beautiful, everything was amazing!! I’m going to see her again in New Jersey and Chicago. I’ll send a review of those also. Thank you so much VH1 and thank you Madonna!!
