Two corsets and a half
Sharp eyed MadonnaTribe readers may have noticed that Madonna has not only changed the colour of her Lacroix corst in some of the European dates of the Tour, but that she has also slightly modified the way she wears her gold one.
The gold corset in New York City (left) and Lisbon (right), and the lilac one in Manchester (center).
The “original” gold corset was indeed dressed in such a way that she had the shoulder strap on her righ shoulder, and the arm band decoration on her left arm. The result was a sort of balance with one element on each side of her figure.
The lilac corset premiered in Manchester wasn’t only different in the colour, but also in the way she wears the accessories: both arm band and shoulder strap were on the same side – her left arm and shoulder.
When she went back to the gold corset at Slane Castle, she wore it in the same way as the lilac one, and continued to do that in Arnhem and Lisbon: band and shoulder strap on the left side.
For the records, the red corset from the Steven Klein photo session that was the inspiration for her Tour costume was also featuring both arm band and shoulder strap on the same side, but this time it was the right one.
