Vote Madonna as VH1’s Ultimate Number One
Over the course of the next few weeks, VH1 UK is searching for the ultimate number ones of the last 15 years.
From the peaks of musical achievement to the troughs of excruciating novelty records, they’ll sift through more than 500 contenders which have scaled the dizzy heights of the UK singles chart since 1980 and invite the nation to decide once and for all which are the greatest and the worst number ones.
VH1 is also giving a second chance to all of the songs which should have been number one but for a cruel twist of fate, or the temporary insanity of the record-buying public.
At the beginning of August, VH1 will count down all three Top 100 lists – The Greatest, The Worst and The Ones That Never Were.
Madonna has ten songs to choose from in The Greatest Number 1 category:
‘Into The Groove’
‘Papa Don’t Preach’
‘True Blue’
‘La Isla Bonita’
‘Who’s That Girl’
‘Like A Prayer’
‘Vogue’
‘Frozen’
‘Music’
She also has one song (Into The Groove) listed in The Worst Number 1 category, and four in the Ones That Never Were category:
‘Beautiful Stranger’
‘Crazy For You’
‘Material Girl’
‘Ray of Light’
