Who’s that Versace girl?

Since a couple of days there’s a picture floating around every single Madonna mailing list and Madonna forum, rumoured by excited fans to be one of the upcoming images from the new Versace campaign.

As many Madonna die hard fans now know, even if the picture tricked at first sight many of them this time, the image pictured above does not come from Madonna and Mario Testino but from talented Rob Jacobs better known as Robster from the Madonna Mad website, where he’s the resident artist, designer and one of its forum moderators.

As many people were amazed and tricked by the image Robster created, we asked him to share with us more about the creative process behind his amazing montages.

Pictured below is a new “Versace montage” created by Rob as his forum signature (pic on the right).

But now, let’s hear from Rob himself how he put it together:

“Basically I searched on photo websites for images using the term white and blond and then used the best picture that matched the earlier descriptions. Then I search for a matching picture of Madonna‘s face in the same angle as the model on the picture, which in this case is Claire Danes, and then I gradually work that into the original picture and edit it together to match the color and shadow of the original”, Robster told us.

“After all that is done I make one layer out of the work picture and then change the colors and brightness and everything to make it look pretty real. I used a picture of Madonna during the “Abdi signing” in London in this case and mildly retouched it and added different make-up”.
