Worcester’s Tribers first reviews – Jereme
Here’s what ou friend Jereme has to say about the show he just saw.
“I just got back from the show. I was amazed. Our croud was really loud. She thanked us, although it was hard to hear what she was speaking. She seemed to screw up during “Don’t tell me” and was smiling pretty loudly after that. Her voice was great. The last time I heard her do “Into the groove” was like 14 years ago and she had to sing the song differently to catch the notes better. This time, she sang it better than the original from 1985.
It was really amazing to hear her pack such a punch into her old material. I feel like these live arrangements are superior to the sudio versions. The reworking of “Deeper and Deeper” had so much more emotion packed inside it.
“Music” was all about the new details. The new arrangement to “Papa Don’t Preach” was so cool and so 80’s, I think that when that song started, we were loudest.
I’m not complaining here, but it seemed like Madonna was saving her energy until the closer -to-last high energy songs. I think she should tell her backup band to get a little more into the vibe.
Overall, the show was incredible. Madonna just gets better and better.
Oh, and she refered to us as Boston, but Worcester and Boston are like 40 miles apart. We are two different cities.”
