x-STaTIC PRO=CeSS in Berlin
What do David Beckham, Madonna, Claudia Schiffer and Brad Pitt have in common? The love for a same man: Steven Klein.
The 38 years old New Yorker is one of the most requested photographers world-wide – and his body of work now comes to Berlin: starting November 6, for the first time ever a selection of his works will be exposed at Camera Work.
This is the third time that “x-STaTIC PRO=CeSS” stops in Germany. Premiered at Deitch Projects in New York and then travelling to Dusseldorf, Munich, and London, the collaboration project between Steven Klein and Madonna is a performance exhibition which links static photographies with video sequences and animations.
Opened in 1997 and devoted to the masters of contemporary photography, the Camera Work gallery will now feature classic “x-STaTIC PRO=CeSS” artworks as well as images from the Re-Invention Tour by Steven Klein, featured for the first time in an art exhibition.
“x-STaTIC PRO=CeSS” runs from November 6, 2004 to January 8, 2005, at Camera Work, Kantstraße 149, 10623 Berlin.
