50 terrible predictions: Madonna will be out of the business in six months
UK TV Sky One program “50 Terrible Predictions” collects the worst predictions ever made.
As you can see from the clipping on the right from the weekend edition of the Daily Express, Madonna has a mention herself which as time goes by appears funny and somehow flattering at the same time.
The article also mentions the likes of Harry potter, London’s Millennium Dome, the Wall Street crash back in 1929, and more, and is illustrated with a full page shot of Madonna from her Re-Invention tour reminding everybody that “Nobody Knows Her“. Long live the Queen!
“At the start of her career Madonna was dismissed as a flash in the pan.
Warner Brothers UK would not pay her train fare to appear on TV show The Tube in 1984 as she was not seen as a priority act.
Billboard Magazine editor, Paul Grein predicted: “Cyndi Lauper will be around for a long time – Madonna will be out of the business in six months.”
She is currently the most successful female chart act of all time, with worldwide sales in excess of 140 million records, has amassed an unequalled 35 consecutive UK Top 10 singles and her earnings are said to be in excess of £215 million.”
50 Terrible Predictions airs tomorrow Monday, March 28 at 9.00pm on Sky One.
