Behind the scene report from Letterman show
Our long time reader AngelLove, wants to share with fellow M-Tribers his experience of seeing Madonna outsite the David Letterman studio yesterday.
“Hey guys, I just wanted to share another story with you. Yesterday when I got back from lunch, I got a message that from my gal pal Jeannie that Madonna was going to be at David Letterman‘s show that day. I happen to work up the block from the studio. So I went down there to try and score a ticket, but no such luck. So I went back to work and decided that I would come back at 4pm to see her arrive.
I arrived at 4:05. Madonna arrived and she just ran right in. She didn’t stop to pose for pics like most celebs do for Dave’s show. Then immediately as people and paparazzi were leaving, the stage crew said “Ok, everyone off this sidewalk, it’s going to be closed.” They normally dont do that so, I hung around across the street with the rest of the tourists to see what would be happening. It’s only an hour show, so I knew I wouldn’t be waiting long. As we were waiting, Madonna‘s assistant arrived separately in another car with an outfit in a garment bag.
A short while later two horses arrived, and they set up a 2 step stair so that somebody can get on a horse. Hmmmm….. As I was waiting, I was reading an interview that I printed off the internet about one of Madonna’s recent interviews. And in the interview she specifically said that her manager didn’t want her to get on a horse until after the promotion of her latest album.
Then I see Liz Rosenberg come out and check out the scene. So I knew that Madonna would be getting on the horse (against the wishes of Guy Oseary!). So fast forward a few minutes, and there is more activity with cameras and such. David Letterman comes out to check out the horses. And Madonna comes out. Paparazzi and fans are taking tons of pics. A few people are calling out her name. She doesn’t react at all and is paying attention to the horse. As she mounts the horse, everyone cheers and applauds.
I took pictures, but they all came out blurry. Sorry!! I need more practice. Anyway, a funny part was when one paparazzi was screaming at Madonna while she was on the horse “Madonna to the right! Madonna to the right!”. She must have said it about 5 times in a row. And then I realize that something was wrong. I scream out “It’s her LEFT!!” The crowd loved that. Ha!!! Even the paparazzi lose their senses when Madonna is around.
Anyway, since you’ve already seen the pics of Madonna on the horse, I can share with you what was happening behind the scenes! Guy Oseary, Liz, and M’s assistant were all watching her as she strolled down the street.
Madonna fell off her horse on her birthday, and she got back on the horse on MY BIRTHDAY! Yesterday was my birthday. I thought that it was fun to see her on my birthday, but to witness a moment like that makes it even more memorable.
I’m attaching some pics. I hope you can use them. Madonna Forever!”
