Borderline 7” Single

Our friend DyeAnotherDay saw madonna.com’s new homepage with the vintage picture by George Holy and decided to dig up his 7″ single of “Borderline.”

“I think “Borderline” was her first U.S. single? (Were “Everybody” and “Holiday” singles? “Into the Groove” wasn’t, FYI.) I do know it was her first Top 10 single, the first of 18 consecutive Top 10 singles.

I scanned the front and the back of the single, and also a fold-out. It’s quite nice – almost unheard of for a new artist. I have a small collection of vinyl singles, and this is definitely one of the nicest. Sire must have had faith in her – she is obviously QUITE photogenic.”
