Citizen Culture
The United States national magazine Citizen Culture has selected a painting called Angel Baby by our friend, POP Modernist artist Joseph
Lawrence Vasile, for the latest cover.
Along with the cover is
a 7 page spread titled Generations: A Different Breed of Paparazzo.
Cyndi Lauper, Deborah Gibson, Cher, Kristine W,Johnny Depp, and a self
portrait “Stero-Type” were selected for Citizen Culture. Plus a Madonna
painting titled “Waiting for Your Rain“!
The Citizen Culture spread gives a glimpse into ‘Behind The Portrait‘, which is
a Signed Celebrity Portrait collection spanning five decades of glamour and
intrigue. The collection features Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Gloria
Estefan,Jessica Simpson, Donna Summer, Chaka Khan, Pat Benatar, Deborah Gibson,
Belinda Carsile, Lisa Stansfield, Jody Watley, Susan Sarandon, Barbara “Jeannie”
Eden, Olivia Newton John, Roseanne, Glenn Close, Susan Sarandon amongst many,
many others.
Joseph Vasile was also interviewed for Madonna’s new documentary tour film.
