Confessions from the Koko venue
Here’s a look at some exclusive Vip memorabilia from the Koko gig in London along with a report that we put together with info from friends that attended the showcase. Speaking about the venue, as you may have noticed by the live broadcast it is a quite small one and it really resembles a traditional theatre.
Madonna had invited many of her special friends for the night: Guy Oseary, Angela Becker, Neil Tennant from the Pet Shop Boys, Mel C, Stella McCartney, Bob Geldof had all their seats reserved on the second level balcony of the venue. Long time friend and publicist Liz Rosenberg, wearing a pair of funny bunny ears with small lights on was attending press and photographers on level one.
Madonna’s band has been spotted relaxing at the bar until twenty minutes before the show started.
Jamie King was overlooking at the show from the mixing desk. Unfortunately a part of the public was made of industry people who didn’t seem to get themselves involved in the show as they should. But the real fans did, dancing all the time in the “standing area” that was decorated like a disco club from the 70 and also included a “Madonna Confessional”.
During “Let it Will Be”, the fans went wild when they saw the new footage by Steven Klein of Madonna wearing a red dress. A look that can be seen on the L’uomo Vogue magazine released in Italy last week.
Below you can see pictures of the merchandise that was on sale during the night, including a promo poster with one of the beautiful new Steven Klein images, two t-shirts, and the “Confess” flyers that were at the venue. Thanks to Sharon for sharing these images.
