ASCAP – the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers currently lists some interesting Madonna related tidbits.

“Isaac” has a registered alternate title variation of “The Binding Of Isaac” (title code: 391941336). The track is also listed with the longer name on some releases of the “Confessions” album, and on the Japanese website of Warner Music Group. “The Binding of Isaac” is a story from the Genesis in which God asks Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac on Mount Moriah.

“Escucha Atento” by Laura Pausini credits Madonna as a co-writer along with Rick Nowels (title code: 350857997). This entry is separate and in addition to the already well known “Mi Abbandono A Te” (title codes: 431644652 and 431458774) aka “Like A Flower” demo (title code: 421224071) which also credit Madonna.

“Frozen” no longer lists the specific songwriter or publlisher credits – it is not known if this is possibly related to the dispute with Belgian composer Salvatore Aquaviva (title code: 360355224).

“Vogue” is also no longer listing specific writer or publisher credit for reasons unknown (title code: 520105119).
