‘Confessions’ on the Observer’s end of year poll
Not scientific by any means, but the Observer Music Monthly has voted Madonna’s “Confessions On A Dance Floor” #26 in their end of year poll. Here’s what they say:
“Time goes by… so slowly …’ she sang. Well, in fact she flipped time – Madonna can do that – and came up with her best record for years: a straight-up part soundtrack. Guy Ritchie might not be a fan of her music: it turned out that everyone else remains just that.
Best Bit: when that Abba-sampline bassline starts building on Hung Up.
From the Observer. Thanks to Daniel.
