As MadonnaTribe readers know, the rumours about the release of the Re-Invention Tour DVD and the reports from various major retailers and local Warner offices have been confusing and contradicting in recent weeks.

We’ve been receiving several pieces of information in the last few weeks, and kept them on hold for a while to compare a few of them together, to avoid adding confusion to confusion.

Today we decided to bring you three updates based on information we received in the past week, unfortunately none of them is positive in terms of a release date to be expected in the few next months, but please do keep in mind that no official announcement has been given about the DVD release so far, so everything still pertains to the speculation folder.

Let’s start with our team member Madlover033003 who wrote to Keith Caulfield, the Madonna guru at Billboard.com asking:

Hi Keith,

“I am a huge Madonna fan and I saw her on tour back in June. I kept hearing about the tour DVD which is supposed to come out this spring but then all of a sudden I heard the news about it not being released. Is this true? Do you have any information of what happening with the DVD? Please tell me!
Thank You!”

Keith replied: “Unfortunately, we’re as much in the dark as you are. While there are plans to release a DVD of the Re-invention Tour, as well as a documentary, no release dates for either have been announced.

Furthermore, while there are many Internet rumors floating around with regards to release dates and such, Madonna’s camp has yet to confirm any of them and no official news has been issued about either project in some time.”

The next update comes from our team member Sanik and his friend Elemik who works in the music industry in Poland. According to the information they received from Warner Music Poland the date of ReInvention Tour is postponed to 2006. Elemik explained that record companies usually set such a late date when they don’t have an actual tentative date at all.

The last update comes from one of our readers who works in the entertainment industry in Germany, who was informed that the release date of the Re-Invention DVD for Germany should be December 4th,2005. Warner Germany was actually the first local company who brougth the news that the DVD, originally scheduled for an April 2005 release, had then “disappeared” from their upcoming release lists, hinting for a delay to Fall 2005.

We understand that there are other reports that seem to cofirm the March/April release. Unfortuantely this is the bit of news we’re able to bring our readers at the moment, but let’s all keep clear in mind that nothing of the above information has been officially released and there’s no official word at all about this long awaited DVD release.
