Evita to be rereleased on Dvd in Australia

As some of our readers know Alan Parker’s Evita was the first film ever released on Dvd format, coded Region 4, in Australia by “Roadshow” at the end of October 1997.

That edition is now out of stock but Evita will come back on Dvd in Australia as an official release very soon. Roadshow is rereleasing the movie on February 17, 2005 in their “Ultimate Academy Awards Collection”

“The hit musical based on the life of Evita Duarte, a B-picture Argentinian actress who eventually became the wife of Argentinian president and dictator Juan Perón, and the most beloved and hated woman in Argentina.”
