Fabiola reports from the Madonna gig at Studio Coast
MadonnaTribe reader Fabiola was one of the lucky fans who attended the Madonna event at Studio Coast yesterday night and this is her report.
Unfortunately people were not allowed to take photographs at the show but Fabiola had a great time anyway and her words will give you the best picture of the night.
“Too bad this was a lottery and a lot of people who were at Studio Coast were not Madonna fans or did not belong there AT ALL, which toned down the whole thing a little bit. I saw this lady, older lady, sitting on the stairs covering her ears with her hands, I mean…what a waste of ticket!
number 222 and they were like, number 1! number 2!, but hey, this is Japan and that’s the way they like it.
When we finally entered the place, it was already half past ten and in Japan the trains don’t run 24 hours, so we figured we would have to stay at Studio Coast the whole night dancing or get a cab to go home which would be quite expensive. Leave that for later.
We and 3 other friends started dancing, the music before the show was great and they even played some Madonna remixes, so we were haveing a good time, but the rest of the people were just…there. I didn’t get it. It was supposed to be a party, right? We started asking ourselves if Madonna was waiting for everybody to get in the mood so she could start. Well, didn’t happen. We were the only ones dancing, and that’s when I saw the lady with her hands in her ears.
Thankfully, when Madonna appeared everybody started dancing and singing. I just forgot about the cold, and the unhappy people around me, and danced myself to death. It was amazing and it was my first Madonna concert (I come from a small town in Brazil and she would never, ever go there!) and I was thrilled.
But then the last song came (I didn’t know at the time) and she asked everybody to sing for her so she could dance and the crowd just couldnt keep singing. They faded and she asked them again and they faded again and she just danced away and it was over. Coitus interruptus.
We just waited there to see if she would come back, but she didn’t. We thought we could stay there dancing, but we had to leave the place, which meant: taxi!
Oh, well, I had a great time and would stand again for 2:30 hours in the cold to see her again. Beautiful, in control of the crowd, amazing dancer, but that you all aready know“.
Best whishes to people from the Tribe.
Fabiola
