If Madonna calls…
Get ready to watch VH1 pop star show “Driven” – on your cell phone. Mini versions of that music program and others will soon be coming to mobile phones, thanks to a deal struck yesterday between MTV Networks and Warner Music Group.
MTV said it will license Warner’s vast library of music videos to create content for cell phone networks around the world. The Viacom-owned cable programer plans to take videos from Warner artists like Green Day, Twista, Madonna and Rob Thomas and package them into short programs for on-the-move music fans.
“Consumers all over the world will be able to flip open their phones and see their favorite Warner Music videos,” MTV CEO Judy McGrath told reporters yesterday.
