Irish success for the Immaculate Collection in 2004
I.R.M.A. (Irish Recorded Music Association ) has published the year end chart of the top selling albums of 2004 in Ireland. We find Madonna’s Immaculate Collection at an incredible number 35 spot, considering this album is 14 years old.
The Immaculate Collection is also the most old album we find in this chart. The main reason for this huge success this year is of course linked to the re-Invention tour. It was the first time Madonna played a tour in Ireland and “Collection” spent two weeks at number 2 of the Irish chart last summer.

TIC is the Madonna album that has sold more all over the world. Billboard reported on October 2003 it has sold more than 23 milions of copies and it’s one of the best selling album ever in music history.
The Immaculate Collection is also the best selling ever Greatest Hits album by a female artist.
