Italian ”Docu-Fiction” to be made about Madonna
Italian director Gianni Volpe will be shooting a film on Madonna that can be described as half fiction and half documentary.
The set will be Pacentro, the little town the parents of Madonna’s father left to find fame and fortune in America.
The film is titled An American Dream – “Un sogno Americano” and local actress Jacqueline Capuzzi plays the part of Madonna’s Italian cousin that dreams of going to America just like Madonna’s grandparents did and becoming a star like the Queen of Pop.
Jacqueline has worked with Gianni Volpe in the past starring in his “L’Ultima Venere” (shown on the right).
Italian director Gianni Volpe is the author of a series of short films and documentaries – his recent “Tracce di Cristo” is a short film of the holy shroud currently showing at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival in Los Angeles and later this year in New York and Las Vegas.
Shooting will start end of April 2005
