Jem’s note to Madonna

The Welsh singer and songwriter that has already taken America by storm after her debut album “Finally Woken” was released there last year is about to make her mark on the British music scene.

After penning Madonna‘s “Nothing Fails” and appearing in hit teen drama The OC, 29-year-old Jem launches her single “They” in the UK today and told The Sun: “It’s what I’ve always wanted and I always thought people would like the music but you just don’t know until you get it out there.”

In her interview Jem briefly talks about her work with Madonna and how she ended up co-writing “Nothing Fails” while trying to get a record deal in London.

“I was told I could write her a note and I was thinking ‘oh my God, what do I write in a note to Madonna?’ Luckily they only gave me five seconds to do it, so it was just a ‘hello!’

“I would love to meet her though, or hear her singing the song because it hasn’t really sunk in.”
