Legal Bootlegs: Vogue Box Set
Here’s is our second look at that series of cds released in Italy at the beginning of the 90’s that can be easily considered as “legal bootlegs” as according to an old Italian law, now changed, it was perfectly legal producing cds containing live performances as these kinds of recordings were considered “public domain” and not protected under patent or exclusive copyrights.
Today we show you a 3 cd boxed set called Vogue, distribuited by a label called Red Panthom, that produced another two interesting live cds we will be discussing in another article soon.
Vogue, released in 1993, contains 3 cds with tracks from the first three Madonna tours: Virgin Tour (1985), Who’s That Girl World Tour (1987) and Blond Ambition Tour (1990) and mixed tracks including the Live Aid performance.
Tracks are not in “set list order” and are taken from different shows. That also means the sound quality of the tracks changes from song to song, but in general it’s quite good.
Copies of cd1 and cd2 of this boxed set had the cd graphics mismatched so, as the cd label says, Cd 1 is cd 2 and vice versa.
