Fantastic!
What a day
I was in the screens area of Hyde Park but what a day I had it could it get any better well I guess if I was in the golden circle or the main arena seeing the stage but that was not to be so make the most of it and enjoy the day.
Highlights well Madonna yes she was my highlight but she would be loved “Like a prayer” and in general picked three very good songs to sing on a day like this “Music” does bring people together and we were there to prove it with 205,000 in Hyde Park many more 1000s listening outside in pubs in London plus millions around the world.
Other highlights Robbie showman Williams, Sir Bob I dont like Mondays was good to hear, Annie Lennox was surprising good sweet dreams!
I got in to the screens area at 12.15 and after picking my t-shirt or two I wanted we got a spot and so the day started. Watching the entire act perform was great. The Atmos was good it would have been bril in the main concert area I could tell. The sound was a little quiet to start but after a while and it going up and down we had the sound sorted.
Did it over run or what, with everyone being told “use public transport” the over run of 20-30mins would have been ok but 2hrs+ overrun was supposed to be over my 9.30 and at just passed midnight now that a big over run.
We had to leave just after The Who as we had to get a train home and missing the last train means a cold night sleeping with all the homeless and Im sorry I cant do that not even for one night so Lets also remember we have poverty here in the UK and Tony Homeless people do need help too while your at it.
I have just watched PF and Mac for the final on video at home and it ended a great day of music and entertainment. It was free and we must not forget the reason we all went and watched.
But most of all we have done our bit now its your turn Tony and the other 7 man of the world pull your fingers out show us you do listen to your voters and lets make sure that in 20years time we can have a concert that says its been 20years since aid was wipes out and the would a better place (Yes it might mean that there will never be a Live8(2) LiveAid(2) LiveAid(3) whatever you want to call it.
But we can have a would that children live to see another day and see the sunrise without the thoughts of hunger lack of medication and all things that todays about.
