Live8 DVD out in Italy today
With Friday being the usual street date for new music releases in Italy, the new “Hung Up” single is not the only Madonna item that fans can look for from today.
The Live8 DVD has also just been released here, and both the 4 disc boxset and the single disc localized version for the concert at the Circus Maximus in Rome are already available in the music stores.
The 4 disc set is an amazing collection of memories, visuals and music that is extensively based on the concert being held in London‘s Hyde Park with additional performance from Philadelphia and several different locations.
The Madonna performance is featured in full, although some editing has been made in between the three different songs she performed (basically cutting out pauses and laps). The video quality is stunning in 16:9 widescreen and features and is edited in a sligthly different way from the footage we saw on the live broadcast. Audio is available in crystal clear DTS 5.1 Surround, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and Dolby Digital Stereo with subtitles available in a range of languages (Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish).
There’s even some more Madonna as the menu of Disc 2 – the one that contains her performances of “Like A Prayer“, “Ray of Light” and “Music” uses a snippet from this last song as a background. Because “Music Makes The People Come Together“.
