Madonna & Keith
The Sunday edition of Italian newspaper “Il Messaggero” features an article about the upcoming Keith Haring exhibition opening on September 28 in Milan.
A nice surprise for Madonna fans is that the newspaper is using the essay that the Queen of Pop herself wrote to remember her friend that will be part of the exhibition’s catalogue printed by Skira.
Those of you who can read Italian can have a look at this touching letter collected by John Gruen on the Tribe Italia section of our website.
Here’s an excerpt tranlsated back into English for this News page:
“When I think of Keith I don’t feel alone. I don’t feel alone in my endeavours. I don’t feel alone in my celebration of what I’ve achieved. I don’t feel alone in the odds I’ve been up against. I feel so akin to Keith in so many ways. I really can’t compare myself to many people… and I dont feel that many people can relate to where I’ve come from and to where I’ve landed. So when I think of Keith and his life and what he’s achieved…
well, I feel that I’m not alone“.
