Madonna and her Re-Invention Tour gig at Slane Castle have been nominated for Best Live Performance Visiting Act at the 2005 Meteor Ireland Music Awards.
In the same category are Franz Ferdinand, Killers, Metallica, Pixies and Red Hot Chili Peppers. In total 16 awards will be presented at the awards ceremony, which will be hosted by comedian Ed Byrne at The Point Theatre in Dublin on Thursday, February 24.
