Madonna’s Numbers

When it comes to Madonna, it’s always difficult to draw totals of worlwide sales, charts and records, but it is definetly interesting to have a look at how the Queen of Pop is described by her own label – here’s her most recent history profile released by Warner Music Group to accompany the debut of “Confessions On A Dance Floor”.

Madonna has sold more than 155 million albums worldwide and all of her previous 16 albums were certified platinum, 13 of those being multiplatinum, 14 hit the Top 10 chart, 10 were #1 or #2.

Madonna also has more Top Ten Singles than any female artist in history: one double platinum, three platinum and 20 gold.

Her previous studio album, American Life, went platinum and #1, spawning four #1 dance tracks – “American Life”, “Hollywood”, “Love Profusion” and “Nothing Fails”.
