Metatempus: The journeys into the minds of Samuel and Jonahh
MadonnaTribe friend and community member Samuel, co-founder of the Metatempus project, has sent the following info to let our readers know about the latest going on his interesting website and invite everybody to visit.
“Metatempus is a site utilising philosophy, music, literature and film, with a heavy focus on Madonna as well as her influence – Samuel writes – its pages are packed with artwork, articles and audio/visual downloads.
There is something unique to experience at Metatempus. With over 1400 visitors since its launch three weeks ago, from 33 countries around the world and almost 50 subscribers to the free newsletter (subscribers receive exclusive articles, artwork and downloads), the Metatempus team hope to build an online community of philosophers, composers, musicians, poets, film makers, writers and photographers and where events can be organised and held in and around Europe.
Planned for release towards the end of this year is the fan-made compilation Resurrection containing highlights over the past 5 years of Samuel’s Madonna remixes. There is a competition being run in which music fans are being asked to create the artwork that consists of a front and back cover for the CD and a promotional poster for Resurrection. The competition will officially run until 13th October 2005.
Samuel is a London philosophy student, previously freelance Media Artist in Berlin whose success includes music composed for television and artwork used in advertising campaigns for events in Germany. Currently preparing a philosophy based art exhibition with the hope to tour Europe with it as well composing songs for a brand new album (Restoration) to be released through Metatempus.
Johann is a Television journalists from Germany, as well as a full time artist producing work on a freelance basis. Co-founder of Metatempus, he is responsible for the design and layout of the website. He is also a hugely successful and published poet with his work appearing in many collections in Europe and stories published throughout the rest of the world.”
