More from around the world in this ‘Hung Up’ day
Hung Up in Germany
Our reader Tim informs us that “Hung Up” premiered today on Germany’s most popular
radio station “Radio Eins Live” at 11.45 am.
Marcel also sent us an email to let everybodu know that “a few minutes after 11 o?clock, “Hung Up” blew me away. Radio Hamburg, the greatest and most popular radio station of Northern Germany, played it for the first time in our country. I picked up the online-player with Madonna in it. If you want to… please use it for an example of being mad for HER new single.
Tonight at 18:15 there will be a Madonna-special at the same station.”
Excessbln also reports that “Hung Up” premiered today at 10.30 am on Energy 103.4 in Berlin and RTL 104,6 will play it at 4.00 this afternoon.
• Hung Up in Chicago
Allan T says: After work, I tuned in to 100.3 kiss fm here in Chicago ( most popular fm station for new music) hoping to hear the new Madonna song. At 1:27 am,October 16, my patience paid off when Hung Up radio edit version played as requested by a listener. I checked their website afterwhich and found out that Hung Up had been played 10:40 pm of October 15 too!
• Hung Up in Mexico
Our friend Gonzo writes: “Hello, I just write to share my story about “Hung Up” being played in Mexico City. It was 7:00 a.m. I was taking a shower, and the dj’s from EXA 104.9 said they were about to premiere the new song from the one and only queen of pop, that a lot of people have tried to take her place but that she is the one and only Madonna.
Then “Hung Up” came, and the ending was a little bit longer (I guess this is the “official” radio edit a little bit longer).
Then at 8 in another radio station, Beat 100.9 that specializes in Electronic Music, a remix of hung up was played. I don’t know what remix it was as I catched the song when it had already begun, but it used a lot the Abba sample, and it was more like a dub because you can mainly hear the chorus of the song. Anyway these moments made my day, and I’m hoping to catch more the song in other radio stations!!”
