Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins in Beverly Hills, CA have 2 great Madonna items for sale in their upcoming ‘The Manuscript & Collectibles Auction‘ on April 30, 2005.
The first item is a Project Angel Food Apron signed Madonna in black ink. The apron is white with blue print and a white angel against a blue background. Project Angel Food provides meals to homebound people with AIDS. Madonna signed the apron to raise money for the group. Item coming from Christie‘s.
The second lot up for grabs is a collection of personal jewelry owned and worn by Madonna. The collection includes costume earrings, necklace and handkerchief from the “Material Girl” video. There are 21 sets of earrings (among these are 3 sets of “Maripol for Madonna” earrings on their original cards); 15 necklaces (including 4 “Maripol for Madonna” bracelet and necklace sets on their original cards and 2 other necklace and earring sets); 3 additional bracelets; a ring; a pendant brooch; and a “boytoy” belt. The jewelry is Madonn’s early style, with lots of crosses, peace signs, etc. Accompanied by letters of authenticity. Originally sold through Sotheby‘s as part of the Karon Bihari Collection.
Also on the 30th of April, 2005 “Robert Edward Auctions” in Watchung, NJ has five contracts signed by Madonna up for auction, each with her rare full signature (“Madonna Ciccone”), and each relating to her role in the 1996 film Evita. Madonna was under contract with Scudder Films and was actually loaned out by this production company to Wondervale Limited, the British Corporation which produced the film. The five offered contracts, each of which is signed by Madonna, detail the legal arrangements between both companies regarding the loan of her services. The text of all five contracts refers to the date of the agreements as June 16, 1995.
