Neurotica – Madonna’s music the funny way
David Gurland‘s new show Neurotica premieres in May at a new venue.
Gurland invites audience to Hitch a Ride Through the Music and Musings of
Madonna Louise Ciccone Ritchie.
David Gurland is back with a new collaboration with musical director and arranger Michael Holland. Neurotica will cover as many as twenty of Madonna’s hit songs from the early 80’s through the present, with many surprises along the way. It will follow a similar format to Gurland’s prior endeavor with Michael Holland, the wildly successful Gurley Show. Launched in early 2002, The Gurley Show enjoyed sold out crowds and
rave reviews with its unique mergence of rock music and the theatricality of a cabaret show. In addition to the arrangements and musical direction, award winning songwriter/singer/instrumentalist Michael Holland will be playing guitar and piano. Neurotica will also feature Gurley Show veterans Karen Mack (back-up vocals), Jerry Smith(percussion), David Boyd (back-up vocals) and Marco Brehm (bass).
