New cool interview on Channel 4
The new Channel 4 inteview with Madonna has now been aired. The special programme promotes a lot the documentary that will be aired for the first time in the Uk on December 1st on Channel 4.
In the first part of the interview Madonna discusses her dancers and how she handles auditions. She says she was cut a lot time during auditions and that a lot of weird people go to her auditions, “boys dressing like girls, girls dressing like boys, people thinking they are me”. But she also says she’s lucky to attract the best dancers.
Then Madonna talks about her father, Guy and her children. While discussing the Abba sample she says they gave permission to use a sample just once before, to Lauren Hill. We also learn that the name of the horse she fell from is Rocky and that it was not her horse.
Talking about “re-invetions” Madonna says she founds a muse to be inspired from. For her Music album the cow-boy was the muse and she deconstructred the concept. She says she chose John Travolta and Saturday Night Fever a few days before shotting the video as the muse for Hung Up.
“I remember the first time I got on stage on proper tour and I still feel the same energy” she said before a live clip of Get Together was played.
Asked about a live tour she says “there’s a rumour I will go on tour. I haven’t validated it yet. I can say I’m thinking about it“. She also added she wants to direct a movie and that she is already looking at two interesting stories.
