Press preview of X-STaTIC PRo=CeSS exhibition

Madonna’s and Steven’s Klein exhibition X-STaTIC PRo=CeSS has been just presented to members of Italian press at the Gallery Hotel Art in Florence. Big sized prints and videos on display for the first time in Italy show the collaborative effort between the two artist from the W Magazine portfolio to the most recent pictures taken during the rehearsals of the reInvention Tour.There are nine photographs on display: six are from the original “X-STaTIC PRo=CeSS” series, three are from the “Chair” session shot during the general rehearsals of Madonna’s reInvention Tour. Together with the pictures there are also five videos, including “disposition 4 and 9“, the same footage presented at the Camera Work in Berlin that was used as backdrop video for the performance of Vogue during the reInvention Tour.Steven Klein has also recently presented his latest portfolio for W Magazine with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for the first time together in a photoshoot that will certainly cause controversy.The exhibition will officially open today at 6 pm and will last at least until September 30 2005. Works are on display in the lobby of the Gallery Hotel Art while the videos are placed in the facing Galleria Brancolini Grimaldi. “Disposition 4 and 9” are shown on a flat screen in the fusion bar of the Gallery Hotel Art, according to the tradition of the Lungarno Hotels which combines art, architecture and modern design.
