Elvis Presley remains the most successful UK chart act of all time after the Book of British Hit Singles & Albums officially unveiled their long awaited annual list of the Top 100 Most Successful Acts Of All Time.
The chart is the most definitive and genuine of its kind, as it is based on the total number of weeks each contender has spent on the official UK Singles and Albums charts.
This year Madonna is getting ever closer to the Beatles and is again the top female artist in the list at #5 and she’s also the only one in the Top Ten. Diana Ross is the only other female solo artist in the Top 20, making #13.
