Report from Donna’s showcase in Nyc
Our friend Jerry attended Donna Delory‘s showcase the other day in New York with his friend Paul and sent us a couple of photos of the three of them. But let’s hear Jerry himself speaking about his experience:
“We attended Donna’s gig at the yoga centre, which was awesome. Mostly tracks from the last two cds and with a room totally devoid of fans, Donna was fabulous and performed a two hour set to a room of shoeless enthusiasts that had each been given a blanket to sit in. She didn’t mention Madonna but spoke about her child, living in the mountains and how she was influenced by strong mothers including Mother Nature, Mother Theresa and people like that, (possibly meaning Mother Ciccone?). Anyway, following the gig I stuck my head around the makeshift backstage area curtain and begged for a photo with her, and kindly she obliged. Cameron Stone, who has worked with Donna for ten years now took the photos and chatted with us for a while about the Borderline gig Donna had played in 2001, that I’d attended. A great night and a superb end to
a holiday in New York”.
