Report from the Madonna Release party in Mexico
Here’s Gonzo & Chris reporting from the Mexican Madonna’s party for the release of “Confessions On A Dance Floor” that took place this last Saturday.
The place called “La Pule” was really crowded, a lot of people were there. At the begining they were playing Madonna’s songs from different albums, just album versions, including singles and non-singles tunes. Soon you could see the place full of fans – all of them enjoying the party and Madonna’s music non stop.
At midnight after a short “lights” show, a first Madonna impersonator appeared to lipsync to “Like a Virgin”, wearing the outfit for the 2003 VMA’s (when Madonna sang with Britney, Christina & Missy). Then the music begun with different remixes from so different eras.
The show continued with performances of “Vogue” with dresses like in the 1990, “Erotica”, “Nothing Really Matters”, and finally “Hung Up” that got all the people dancing, and screaming to see “Madonna” in front of them.
The music was just great, from “Material Girl” to “Keep It Togueter”, “La isla bonita”, “Like A Prayer”, “Express Yourself”, “Frozen”, “Deeper And Deeper”, “Ray Of Light”, “Holiday”, “Music”, etc.
They also played from “Hung Up” (of course), “Jump” and “Sorry” off the new album.
It was a really good party, all the Mexican fans reunited, it was pure fun.
