Secret in numbers
M-Tribe forum members are now back home from the New York premiere of “I’m Going To Tell You A Secret” and here are their experiences. Let’s start with our community member I-LUV-NYC
“Just got back home from the premiere screening here NYC. WOW I just loved it, I knew I would like it but didn’t think it was gonna be this good, I just can’t write to much right now cuz I have to go to sleep gotta work tomorrow! Madonna looked so cute wearing black with this thing in her head. She went to the front of the theatre with many camaras and flashes in her face accompanied by Jonas Akerlund and we didn’t let her talk for a minute until she shut us up!
Then she said she was happy to be in NY for the premiere of the movie in her favorite city in the world (she finally said it) and with her fans, she said that we fans always say that we are so inspired by her, and that the feeling is mutual that she gets inspired by us. She thank everybody for coming over to MTV for the support and for letting her show the film commercial free next friday…
Then somebody screamed, are u watching the movie with us ? She said of course I will etc then she went to sit just in the last row in the back of the theatre where most of the celebrities were, after all the premiere was mostly for us fans and not the celebrities I was just in the middle of the theatre. I saw Ingrid Casares, Guy Oseary, Nicky Hilton, Jonas Akerlund, Stuart Price, and Seth a dancer from the RIT. He was sitting behind me.
The Secret in numbers:
1 – It starts off with ‘The Beast Within’ with a new edited video montage kind of the same of the one used for the Rit (the one with the Steven Klein instalation photoshoot-video). I must say i was very impressed it looked amazing in that big screen. Then we would see the casting of the dancers until the RIT opening night (just like we saw in the 10 minutes trailer on VH1.com) then the first performance we saw was ‘Vogue’ – amazing.
Its was edited though, it didnt show Madonna walking like a spider upside down, but anyway was very cool… I heard ‘Paradise not for me‘ music with a video showing trees until she said ‘there is a light above my head’ then she started saying some words that i don’t remember now
2 – Then she gets to NY and while she was talking about the city we heard The song I Love New York, she said she has to work harder for a NY audience
3 – Guy Ritchie is a very funny guy, the movie has very funny moments
and the kids are so much fun, Lola was talking some kabbalah thing and Rocco was bored with her talking about kabbala, and said shut up what the heck are u talking about so cute, then guy Ritchie was outside of a concert here in NY doing an interview to some supposedly fan that didn’t even recognised him and Guy asked him if he knew about Madonna’s husband then he said his name clueless he was talking to Guy himself…
4 – The film shows Madonna’s father in his vineyard with his wife talking about how great his daughter turned out to be
5 – Lola teaches Madonna french: Lola how do you say I’m gonna tell you a secret in French?
6 – Gweneth Paltrow appears in the movie – Madonna gets so bored at Guy Ritchie birthday party
7 – Madonna takes her staff and dancers to hear a famous pianist that would play exclusively for them, then when the show was over she congratulate the pianist then said: is this the part when you feed me? I’m starving!
8 – Nobody knows me performance was so cool and well edited wow
9 – The relationship with Madonna and dancers was fenomenal so it seemed, one of them dedicated a cute poem to her, then in another scene she dedicate a poem to Angela Baker too that remided me of the poem Madonna dedicated to her assistant in the Truth or dare film, the whole film reminded me of a Re-invented Truth or dare, it was a whole new Madonna Mature and with so much wisdom…
10 – Be prepared to cry, I dunno if it was because I saw the film in a big screen but when Madonna said bye to her dancers was very touching and she cried with them, then said she was sorry for not hanging out with them any longer but she has a family…
There is much to say about the film but this is what I can say now. The film ends with her visit to
Israel, and ends up with the same video of the RIT with this Palestinian and Israeli kids holding each other with John Lennon’s Imagine… I just can’t say how much more inspiration this woman brought to me… This film makes you want a better person really… I hope most of you enjoy it as i did… God bless the Queen!!”
