Italian music news site Rockol.it presents some quotes of pop singer Gwen Stefani on Madonna. Gwen was the guest star of the San Remo festival last week, ten years after Madonna was there for the first time in 1995.

When the [Madonna] came out in the 80’s, I was 15 and still going to school. I didn’t like Pop then but Ska music. Only after a while I understood that music was going to be part of my memories: On the new album I confess I was inspired by that sound. There can’t be a new Madonna, she has paved a road not only for women but also for a lot of men.”
