Still no Madonna news from Cannes
From the first reports coming from Cannes by Associated Press and Ansa it there are still no mentions of Madonna’s documentary.
From the AP press release:
“Lemming“, directed by Dominik Moll, with Charlotte Gainsbourg, Laurent Lucas, André Dussollier, Charlotte Rampling will open the 58th edition of the Festival de Cannes on May 11, 2005, it was revealed this morning during a Press Conference in Paris, France.
A total of 20 films will be in competition for the Palme d’Or, that will be given to winners on Saturday May 21.
Among the films in competition an impressive list of international directors: “Don’t Come Knockin”‘, by Wim Wenders, “Last Days”, by Gus Van Sant, “Manderlay”, by Lars Von Trier, “History of Violence”, by David Cronenberg, and “Broken Flowers”, by Jim Jarmusch.
Among the films presented out of competition these are the titles mentioned at the moment:
“Match Point” by Woody Allen, “Star Wars Episode III: the Revenge of the Sith” by George Lucas, and the film that will close the Festival, “Chromophobia” by Martha Fiennes.
