Students Hung Up on Madonna

Students at Paris‘ prestigious political science school “Institut d’Etudes Politiques“, better known as Sciences-Po, and commonly considered a European equivalent of American Ivy League schools will have a chance to take a 14-week Master’s-level course on Madonna when classes start back up next week.

The course is called “Borderlines : A Critical Cultural Study of Madonna” and its purpose is to understand better how “socially constructed woman’s” concept of gender, race, sexuality, religion and (inter)national identities are formed by language, and how these identities give insight to contemporary American culture.

One rumor has it that the students were so “hung up” on Madonna that the course filled up fast.
