Madonna fans hoping to read a tell-all about the pop superstar’s colourful life are in for a long wait – because she plans to write it in 40 years time.

The “Music” singer, whose romances and wild antics grabbed headlines throughout the 1980s and 1990s, recently gained writing practice through putting her children’s books together, but a novel on her own life will be a long time coming.

She says, “I’ve thought about (writing an autobiography), but it’s a daunting idea. I don’t know, maybe I’ll do it in 20, 30, 40 years. I have some tales to tell, that’s for sure.”
