The Euro dates that never were
MadonnaTribe community member Finnboy informs us that in last Sunday’s edition of Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat a Clear Channel promoter, Risto Juvonen, revealed in an interview that they had all the details worked out and even reached an agreement for 3 million dollars per show for two dates in Helsinki of the re-Invention Tour.
The chosen venue was the Hartwall Arena but later Madonna opted not to add more shows to the european tour. The promoter also added that besides Finland there were also dates planned in Stockholm and Moscow.
In an article on MadonnaTribe’s own magazine theIdol and on a MadonnaTribe news item from last September we already reported news Tribe Team got from different people that worked at the show, about the possibility of extending the tour.
“Madonna and her band and crew were enjoying themselves so much that an extention of the tour was briefly considered.
A final decision was then taken during a meeting that took place at the time of the Paris dates of the show, and it was then decided to confirm the original schedule and to end the Tour in Lisbon”
