The Posters That Never Were
Here’s two extremely rare and interesting pieces of Madonna memorabilia. What you see below are two
“exploration posters” of the film Swept Away.
These test posters were especially created for Guy Ritchie and Madonna to see which one they wanted to use for the world wide print.
These two were part of a set of about 13-15 posters made up for the Ritchies to choose from. As we all know these artworks were not chosen for the final cinematic release but it’s interesting to see on the one on the right the full Madonna image later used on many Dvd releases of the film worldwide and a mispelling of Adriano Giannini‘s name, credited as “AdriaNNo“.
