Time to pull them out of the closet
Since DVDs came around, the dream of many Madonna fans is to have released on this format two important pieces of the Madonna legacy.
Two of her most important Tours, The Virgin Tour (1985) and The Blond Ambition Tour (1990) still remain unreleased on the Digital Versatile Disc format.
There might be several reasons, technical and concerning copyrights, because these two shows have not yet been released on DVD, but fans are not giving up hope and started a campaign putting together an online petition that you can find HERE.
What fans are asking is for a release of the full lenght Virgin Tour including the songs
Angel, Borderline and Burning Up, that were edited out of the original 1986 vhs release and for the Blond Ambition Tour which at the time was only released officially on Laser Disc format (and ltd vhs in Japan) by Pioneer, official sponsor of the tour, to which the commercial rights of the video recording were exclusively secured for a number of years.
Two Blond Ambition shows were released on Laser Disc by Pioneer; Yokohama for Japan and Nice, France for Europe and Usa.
