Updates on tour negotiations in Argentina and Brazil
Fernando Scopadore, MadonnaTribe’s friend and webmaster of the amazing Brazilian website MadonnaOnline Brazil wants to keep our readers updated on the Madonna concert that may happen in Brazil in 2006. Here is his report in English for our readers.
“There are some rumours that Madonna is going to perform in Brasil and
Argentina next year. A couple of weeks ago, O GLOBO newspaper
published that a businessman called Oscar Niemeyer, who owns
‘PlanMusic‘, which is bringing Rolling Stones and U2, to perform in
Rio and Sao Paulo is negotiating some Madonna’s gigs in Brasil.
Actually, this guy has an association with the mayor of Rio, and they
want Madonna to perform in Copacabana Beach, as the Rolling Stones
will be doing in two monts time. The public for the Rolling stones
will be at least 1.5 million people!
Another man, who works in the showbusiness industry called David
Grimback is dealing with gigs in Argentina.
A friend who promotes shows in Brasil who worked on the latest
tours of Lenny, Alanis and Avril, told me that Brasil and
Argentina together can be strong enough to bring Madonna to perform
South American dates for her next tour.
Yesterday a very famous jornalist called Joyce Pascowitch published on
her website that a gig in Sao Paulo is being negotiated as well. These rumours are getting serious and lets remember that
Madonna confirmed the world tour during the interview with Jo Whiley.”
