Vogue Us segment on E! News Live

The new interview and photos of Madonna and family published in the August 2005 edition of Us Vogue were featured in a special segment aired on July 19 on E! News Live.
The segment also features a mini interview to Sally Singer, the fashion news director of Vogue Magazine, who explains how “these are pictures of a happy family at home and that’s what is so surprising to see with Madonna. She’s not striking any poses, she’s not dancing, she’s not pulling faces or doing all the things we do love in other pictures.” “It’s a photo shoot that went on for a number of days and there’s one in particular of Madonna in bed with Lourdes and Rocco surroundended by newspapers, the bed is newspapers and Madonna and children don’t read newspapers. They don’t read magazines they don’t watch television.”
Singer adds: “I think this is a really inspring set of pictures about what it means to look great in your forties, to not look young and to not look old. ”

Singer also talks about Madonna’s upcoming projects: “In short term there’s going to be the documentary, the new dance album and a tour next year and in long term, God knows. If it’s not surprising it’s not Madonna”.

This new issue of Vogue is in US newsstands this Thursday.
