Weak sales for US artists this week
By looking at the new top ten of the US album sales you can find out that all the artists sold less copies of their new CDs last week.
Acoording to the Soundscan figures – the one used by Billboard to compile their charts – Madonna is at #8 this week selling 105,367 copies.
This makes a total of 666,579 so far, meaning that “Confessions On A Dance Floor” has already sold about one thousand copies more than “American Life”.
This week the Soundscan and HitsDailyDouble figures differ more than usual. HitsDailyDouble sees Madonna’s new album down to #10
with 96,685 copies and “Chris Brown” being the top seller of the week with 154,870.
