8th Wembley show, ”Get Together” and ”A Secret”

The latest updates from GetLive.co.uk remind Madonna fans about the final “Confession Tour” date in London and announces the UK release dates of “Get Together” and “I’m Going To Tell You A Secret“.

Having opened her Confessions World Tour to ecstatic reviews at the first of four sold-out performances in Los Angeles last night, it was announced that Madonna will celebrate her birthday with thousands of fans in London this year as – due to overwhelming public demand – the 8th and final Wembley Arena date is confirmed as August 16th – the material girl’s birthday.

Tickets for August 16th go on sale this Friday, May 26th at 9am.

The original seven London dates sold out in a record 24-hours and repeat the success of her two previous world tours – the highly acclaimed 2001 Drowned World tour, which included eight sold out nights at Earls Court, and 2004’s Re-Invention tour, which featured three shows at Earl’s Court and four at Wembley Arena.

The new single “Get Together” is released in the UK on Warner Records, July 24th.
It is the third single to be released from the million-selling “Confessions On A Dancefloor”, which debuted at Number 1 in 29 countries, and follows the Number 1 smash-hits “Hung Up” and “Sorry” – the latter of which made history, giving Madonna her 12th UK Number 1; more than any other female artist ever.

On June 19th Madonna releases the special edition live CD/DVD “I’m Going To Tell You A Secret“. Directed by Jonas Akerlund, the behind-the-scenes documentary of 2004’s Reinvention tour includes previously unreleased footage, while the CD includes 14 live tracks from 2004’s “Reinvention” world tour.
